Novum 55TX97 doesn't start

Good morning. I have a Metz 55TX97 Novel TV, chassis 616 LED-TV. Unfortunately, an issue has occurred, and now when I turn it on, the LED indicator at the bottom blinks for several minutes, similar to standby mode. After that, the blinking stops, and nothing else happens. When I press the power button on the remote, the blinking resumes, but there is no sound or picture.

I tried downloading the firmware for this TV model from the Metz website and saved it onto a USB stick formatted as FAT32. However, there was no reaction — the TV didn’t even attempt to read the USB stick (the stick’s activity light didn’t blink as it usually does when accessed). I tried inserting the USB stick into different USB ports on the TV: the black one at the back and the blue one on the side, but there was no response in either case.

Could you advise where to start troubleshooting to fix this issue? Unfortunately, the manufacturer’s service engineers are unavailable, so I will be performing the repair myself. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I had exactly this issue with a Metz Chassis 613 in the past. Seems to be the same error, although both types of chassis aren´t directly compareable.
You will need most probably a new G-Board (which is in fact the Mainboard) as replacement.

You need a new mainboard. It costs about 450€. Ask your Dealer for more details.
